The Lost Temple of Israel

Describes a physical and intellectual journey in the author's life that traces his involvement in the excavation of a site on Mount Ebal, which the Bible describes as the home of the Lost Ark. The excavation began, coincidentally, in 1981, the very year that the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark was released and brought the idea of the Ark into the public consciousness.
